Description
The type K headjoint has the sound concept of a powerful tone and wide dynamic range with good presence reaching the entire hall. Developped by Jeffrey Khanert.
Jeffrey Khaner is the principal flutist of the Philadelphia Orchestra. He has also served as principal flutist with the Cleveland Orchestra, and currently teaches at the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School. I am very happy indeed with my Yamaha K headjoint. It gives my flute a full rich sound from top to bottom and it allows me to play with an exceptional palette of tone colours. The variety of articulations possible throughout all registers is tremendous. Bravo, and a huge 'thank you' to Yamaha!
